How Much Do 10PLUS Wheels Weigh? T Series vs E Series Explained
Wheel weight depends on depth and configuration. Here's how to read the 10PLUS numbers without getting caught out by marketing shorthand.
Don't compare the headline number
A wheelset's weight changes with rim depth, hub configuration and exact build. Comparing a 38mm wheel with a 65mm one and calling one brand “lighter” is meaningless.
Always compare the same category at the same depth.
T Series baseline
The Road T Series page lists weights from about 1580g, and the Gravel T Series starts at around 1560g in the product research used here. These are range starting points, not guarantees for every configuration.
Delivered weight can vary, so treat manufacturer figures as a spec reference, not a promise of what your scale will read.
E Series
The Road E Series starts at about 1385g per the current official specs, and the Gravel E Series at around 1440g. Again, depth and configuration matter.
So the E Series has a real weight advantage — but the fair comparison is T versus E at the same depth and category.
Does lower weight matter?
Yes, especially when climbing and accelerating. But tyres, cassette, rotors and the rider still make up most of the total system.
For a first carbon upgrade, a sensibly weighted T Series and good tyres beat spending heavily on a small difference most riders will rarely notice.
The buying rule
Choose E for the premium weight package, T when value matters more. And never choose a wheel just because its advertised weight is the smallest number on the page.
